The first step is scheduling a no obligation, free 20-minute phone consultation. This gives us a chance to talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, answer any questions, and see if we’re a good fit.

After you request a consultation, I’ll send you a quick, pre-consultation questionnaire via email. This helps us make the most of our time during the call and ensures that our conversation is tailored to your needs.

Moving Forward

If we decide to move forward after your consultation, I’ll send you intake documents and initial questionnaires through a secure client portal in SimplePractice, my HIPAA-compliant electronic health record system.

Everything is completed online, so you can fill out your paperwork from the comfort of your home or office, without the hassle of printing or scanning documents.

Your First Sessions & The Therapy Process

Initial Sessions: Your intake forms and questionnaires will help guide our first session, where we’ll begin to explore your experiences, challenges, and therapy goals.

A Personalized Approach: Together, we’ll create a customized plan based on your specific needs and what you hope to get out of therapy.

Ongoing Support & Progress Tracking: Throughout our work together, I’ll periodically check in with symptom-based questionnaires and reflections to ensure therapy is moving in the right direction for you.

FAQ: Investment & Insurance

  • Initial 20-Minute Consultation: Complimentary

    Individual sessions: $165 or your in-network copay, coinsurance, and/or deductible, and are 50-minutes in length.

  • I’m in network with the following insurance providers:

    • Aetna

    • Curative

    • Regence

    • United Healthcare/Optum

    You’ll want to be sure to check with your insurance carrier to make sure I’m in-network with your specific plan.

  • I handle billing for clients paying privately (self-paying).

    I use a third-party company for billing and insurance for clients who choose to use in-network insurance benefits.

    If you are wanting to use your out-of-network insurance benefits, I can provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your insurance benefits.

    Most health insurance carriers offering out-of-network benefits reimburse between 30% and 70% of the total service costs. Please contact your insurer carrier directly to get more details about your coverage and reimbursement for costs with an out-of-network provider.

    Your insurer may ask for a list of CPT codes. Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like that list for therapy with me.

  • Clients who start therapy with me typically start on a weekly basis, then taper to biweekly sessions for about 1-2 months once they’re near completion of therapy goals.

  • You may be asking about this because you want relief from what you’re going through which is absolutely natural!

    The time it takes each person varies. But it will only last as long as it needs to, and that will be based on the goals you set for yourself in therapy.

  • We’ll meet remotely/online typically on a weekly basis. I’m also offering in-person sessions in San Antonio.

    Online sessions are held through a HIPAA compliant secure platform through my EHR system with SimplePractice.

    For online sessions, you’ll receive a HIPAA secure link via phone or email, based on your preference, prior to your session.

  • I’m in-network with Aetna, Curative, Regence, and United Healthcare/Optum.

  • If you have out-of-network (OON) behavioral health insurance benefits, you’d pay for the cost of therapy and I’m happy to provide you with a Superbill should you want to be reimbursed by your insurance company.

    Here are some questions you may want to ask when confirming insurance benefits:

    • Do I have out-of-network behavioral health/mental health benefits?

    • How do I request out-of-network reimbursement?

    • How many therapy sessions does my plan cover per year?

    • What is my policy year?

    • What types of services (also called “CPT codes”) are covered and not covered?

    • Is telehealth covered?

  • There is a minimum of a 24-hour cancellation notice policy. If 24-hours isn’t provided there will be a $75.00 fee assessed to the card on file.

  • American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, HSA, and FSA cards are accepted.

  • Yes, I offer all three therapies: EMDR, Brainspotting, & Clinical Hypnosis, remotely!
